Kapa Haka is one of the primary parts of life within Te Rere O Te Tarakakao.

Aubrey and Chiefy   Sharon

Kapa means 'group' and 'Haka' defines various Maori dances. Within Kapahaka, you will learn;

  • The language
  • Traditions
  • Protocols
  • Music and dance

Most of all, you will become an important member of our family.

We encourage and welcome people from all cultures to join our group and experience the Maori culture. If you are considering membership, you are more than welcome to sit in on one of our practices. As we regularly change both our practice locations and times, please take note below for information regarding our next practice.

Kapahaka Practice is every Thursday night from 630pm at the Queanbeyan Leagues Club in the upstairs Function Room.

Please contact Jenny Smith via email or home phone (62998060) for the latest Practice information.
